How to measure

Waist: Measure at your navel (belly button level), relaxed, not sucking in. Neck: Measure at the narrowest point, just below the Adam's apple. Hip (women): Measure at the widest point of your hips.

How accurate is this?

The Navy method is accurate to within 1-3% for most people. It's not as precise as DEXA scans or hydrostatic weighing, but it's free and you can track changes over time with just a tape measure.
